Lisbon Working-Group and Management Committee Meeting – March/April 2014

Working Group Meeting: 1st Meeting for WG 1, WG 2, WG 3 and WG 4
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Date: 31/3/2014 & 1/4/2014

Management Committee Meeting
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Date: 2/4/2014

The above meetings will be held at the Faculty of Science in the University of Lisbon (Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa), building C1, 3rd floor at the FFCUL auditorium. The auditorium is here: http://goo.gl/maps/O5pOu. This area is very well connected by public transport: closest metro stops are “Cidade Universitária” (yellow line) and “Campo Grande” (green line), several bus connections, and the airport is less than 5km away (with metro-red line, bus, aerobus and taxi connections). For metro, tram, suburban train and bus you need to buy a reusable “Lisboa Viva” card (50 cents) and can top it up with any credit (“zapping” option) and use any of these 4 means of transport.

There are several hotels nearby (within a 20-30 minute walk distance):
Radisson Blu Hotel Lisbon – Campo Grande (the closest, 10 minute walk)
NH Campo Grande
SANA Metropolitan Hotel
Lisbon Marriott Hotel

2/3 metro stops away:
Hotel VIP Executive Zurique
Hotel Vip INN Berna
VIP Grand Lisboa Hotel and Spa
Turim Ibéria Hotel
Holiday Inn Lisbon Continental
Hotel 3K Barcelona
Hotel Roma

There are several hotels near the “Saldanha”, “Picoas” and “Marquês de Pombal” metro stops, and the yellow line goes directly to the university (“Cidade Universitária”) as well – there seems to be cheaper options around these stops.

I will be organising a dinner for you all on the 31st of March (D’Oliva restaurant, here), so if you are attending it (whether you are eligible for reimbursement or not) please fill in the doodle sent to you by email as soon as possible (as this may affect the restaurant choice due to limited capacity) – this will paid for by the organisation.
(If you have any dietary restrictions please fill in the following (no need to fill it if you have no restrictions:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1mTWu1_Vy6hHJ2ZNoC4xAfmfYqjo8IDO-RJ_X_FG-Ki4/viewform)

Coffee-breaks will be offered to all participants (whether you are eligible for reimbursement or not). We will also have a catering service for our lunches (Monday and Tuesday) very close to our auditorium, to be paid for by each participant – the price will be around 10-13€ each lunch. I strongly recommend that we all have lunch together to save time and increase our networking time together.
